Pitbull Allows Pregnant Stray Cat To Have Babies In His Doghouse

Being a Pitbull in this day and age is definitely not easy since a lot of people perceive them as monsters and are always wary of them. Hades, a sweet Pitbull, also happens to go through this discrimination just because he happens to be a Pitbull. However, Hades proved that he has a big heart, filled with love and care.

Hades and his owner Juan José P. Flores live in Mexico. Flores has been feeding a stray cat that was frequently in his neighborhood for as long as he can remember even though he was never able to get close to her.

Hades noticed his owner's act of kindness and followed his lead with his own heartwarming and loving gesture.

One day, Flores heard knocking at his back door where Hades usually hangs out. He initially thought that it was a person knocking, but upon further investigation, he realized that it was actually Hades. His pup had something very important to show him.

"He was desperate and making a lot of noise," Flores told The Dodo.

As soon as Flores stepped out to check, Hades started leading him to his doghouse where he was hosting an important guest.

"I was very surprised," Flores said.

Hades' guest ended up being a shy stray cat. She turned out to be pregnant and desperately in need of a warm and safe place to have her babies. Hades had the perfect spot for her.

Hades didn't stop there and still had more kindness to offer. Hades stayed close by her as she went into labor, making sure she felt safe during that vulnerable moment.

"He dragged a blanket over to the entrance of his house and settled outside the door," Flores said. "She felt protected by him."

The cat gave birth to two adorable kittens while Hades watched over them.

"I think he felt that he was a father," Flores said.

The new mother cat couldn't have been happier, she was cozy with her babies in her new home and Hades welcomed them with open arms

Flores moved the mother cat and her babies indoors where he and Hades can keep them warm and protected.

That was the start of a beautiful friendship between Hades and the cat who is now named Nicol. Flores added that they have been spending a lot of time together when the mom isn't taking care of her kittens.

Flores will try to find a forever home for the kittens when the time is right. However, Nicol will always have a home with Flores and Hades.

Flores hopes that this story will change people's minds about Pitbulls and perhaps even inspire some to spread more kindness in the world.

"Pit bulls are good dogs," Flores said. "Hades put everything aside to help someone else. We should do the same without expecting anything in return."
